FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Mera Technologies To Produce Variable Speed Permanent Magnet Generators July 28, 2003 -John Devine, president of Mera Technologies, Seattle WA announced that production of variable speed permanent magnet generators will begin the first quarter of 2004. The 4 kW through 12 kW generators consist of a rare-earth permanent magnet alternator and advanced power conversion electronics that combine excellent motor load starting characteristics with small size and weight. Mera Technologies variable speed generators are comparable in cost to wound alternators but weight 70% less. John Devine says his products are marketed to generator manufacturers for use in marine, industrial and military applications.
